Praia da Rocha’s Santa Catarina fortress will be the setting for another edition of the ‘Portimão Wine Tasting’ event taking place this weekend (July 20-23).
Held every summer, it aims to showcase the quality of the wines produced in the borough. Wineries attending are Herdade dos Pimentéis, Quinta do Morgado da Torre and Quinta da Penina.
Besides the wines, visitors will also be able to taste a variety of regional delicacies.
‘Portimão Wine Tasting’ will take place between 8pm and midnight each day.
Admission is free but visitors must purchase a wine glass for €1.50 if they want to taste the wines. Each wine can be tasted for €1.50 or €2.
