Portimão tourism office opens in revamped Lota building

Tourism office offers info on all things tourism-related in Portimão

Portimão’s new tourism office has opened in the recently renovated riverside Lota building near the town’s old bridge, providing holidaymakers with any information about the borough they might need.

Moving the tourism office to the riverside, one of Portimão’s busiest areas, has given it “more visibility, says the local council in a statement to the press.

Apart from all the physical guides and pamphlets on offer, there is also a selection of digital content which tourists can access through their phone, including “thematic augmented reality videos.”

The tourism office will be open between 10am and 11pm on weekdays (including on the August 15 holiday) and between 4pm and 11pm on Saturdays in August.

Starting September 1, it will resume its ‘winter schedule’ – 9.30am to 5.30pm on weekdays.
