It’s almost that time of year again when photographers of all skill levels try to find new ways of capturing the beauty of Portimão, Mexilhoeira Grande and Alvor.
The 19th Corrida Fotográfica de Portimão (Photography Race) will take place on May 17 and 18 and is inviting all photographers to sign up.
This year there will be two categories: 24 hours and 12 hours. The first will begin on Friday, May 17 at 9pm at the reception of Portimão’s municipal museum while the second will commence at the same place but on the following day at 9am. Both will end at 9pm on Saturday, May 18.
There will be prizes of up to €600 in photographic equipment as well as prizes of up to €300 for youngsters (12 to 18), which can be used for courses at the ETIC School in Faro.
All the top voted photographs will then be displayed at the museum at the end of the year.
