PORTIMÃO CÂMARA has launched a new website in a bid to help attract more tourists to the region.
Named www.visitportimao.com, the website is currently only available in Portuguese but will eventually be available in English, Spanish, Dutch, French and German.
The official presentation was held on Thursday (January 17) in a Lisbon club, the Skones, at an event that attracted some leading Portuguese public personalities.
Although it is already online, the website is still being worked on, especially the foreign languages pages.
The website is organised into eight different areas and includes information about the beaches, accommodation, sports, events, what’s on and general information about the region.
