Portimão’s busy V6 avenue will turn into a gigantic waterslide this weekend (August 8 and 9) from 10am.
Entitled ‘City Water Slide’, the event will see the final stretch of the road near Praia da Rocha partially closed off to set up two 330-metre long slides.
Tickets vary from €5 for one trip to €85 for a daily pass for four people.
The event will also feature a ‘Water Slide Fest’, including dancing and fitness classes, DJs and a street food area.
Traffic on the V6 avenue will be affected although Portimão council says it does not expect it to be cut off.
