The sky is the limit this weekend in Portimão as the city hosts its second air festival which promises to be action packed.
Portimão Câmara is once again promoting the event which will bring a variety of aircraft to the city to perform acrobatic flyovers above the crowds from 3pm on both days.
Portuguese air force squadron Asas de Portugal will be present at the festival, while world Redbull flying champion Hannes Arch will also be making a guest appearance.
Three Alouette III helicopters will also be performing a show while the 552 Zangões squadron from the Portuguese air force will demonstrate a search and rescue operation of a shipwreck in the Arade River.
The Aerostars team will be arriving from the UK with six Yakovlev Yak 50 planes to carry out high risk stunts for the crowds, while other teams from France and Spain are also planned to perform air acrobatics.
Visitors will also be able to take part in various activities along the riverside area, such as piloting a plane in a flight simulator, flying in a vertical wind tunnel, rock climbing wall and bouncy castles for children.The fair will be open tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday from 10am until 6pm.
