Portimão has autism association

HELP IS at hand for parents of autistic children and children with development disorders, following the opening of a new branch of APPDA, the national association for autistic people, in Portimão.

The Portimão office of Associação Portuguesa para as Perturbações do Desenvolvimento e Autismo (APPDA-Algarve), has registered 70 members in just one year and is now planning to expand to other locations in the Algarve.

The association offers help to families with autistic children and has created special training programmes for parents, free time occupation programmes and school support and advice.
