An initiative by Portimão Câmara aims to cover the city in blue with art exhibitions by various artists and other features following the theme running until the end of August.
Agosto Azul (Blue August) activities will combine the life of the seventh Portugal President and Portimão son, Manuel Teixeira Gomes, with the local landscape, heritage and traditions.
Throughout the month, there will be several ‘blue’ initiatives. One of the main attractions will be the blue street theatre show that will take place from August 19 to 22 in front of the Câmara building at Praça 1º de Maio.
Portimão municipality will also be promoting other cultural and sport activities during August.
