Vouchers can be redeemed until January 31, 2023

Portimão City Council is handing out €15 vouchers to seven thousand students from five municipality schools to support families and boost local commerce.

In a statement, the municipality said that the measure comes to help purchase gifts for children to “have a happier Christmas, in this difficult year for all families, aggravated by the economic crisis in Europe, after two years of the pandemic”.

The vouchers can be redeemed in the municipality’s community of participating stores and services until January 31, 2023.

To stimulate purchases and boost the local economy, the municipality also launched the “Value Local Commerce” campaign, awarding shopping vouchers of €25, €50 and €100, which will be raffled off to shoppers who make purchases of €10 or more in local establishments.

Adhering stores will be identified with the campaign symbol. The prize draws will take place on December 14, 21 and 28 and January 4, 11 and 18, 2023, at 11:00 am, at the Balcão Único in Portimão.
