Portimão’s Quinta Pedagógica (educational farm) is inviting families to feed its animals, like ducks, chickens and donkeys.
This opportunity is part of a new project called ‘Vem dar o pequeno-almoço aos animais da Quinta Pedagógica de Portimão’ (‘Come feed breakfast to the animals of Quinta Pedagógica’), which will begin on January 19.
The idea is to show visitors what each animal eats, the origin of the food and the importance of providing them with a balanced diet.
Staff will welcome a group of four people or a family every Tuesday and Thursday at 9.30am. Children aged under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The experience is free, but those interested must sign up in advance.
