A 27-year-old man was arrested on Sunday (August 16) for stealing money, cigarette packs and drinks from a number of cafés and shops in Portimão.
PSP police had been investigating the thefts for four months and finally traced the man back to his house after a break-in on Sunday.
Over “€1,100-worth of cigarette packs” as well as “€331.20” in cash were seized, said a spokesman.
