“New handicraft and design trends as well as regional and gourmet products” will take centre stage at the Summer Markets (Mercados de Verão) taking place in Portimão and Alvor during July and August.
Organised by local association Teia D’Impulsos with the support of Portimão Council and the Parish Councils of Portimão and Alvor, the events aim to boost culture as well as support local businesses.
In Portimão, the market will run between July 30 and August 1 at the Jardim 1º de Dezembro, and in Alvor, between August 5 and 7 along the riverside.
Organisers will only accept exhibitors who sell their own Portuguese products, “with the exception of invited international exhibitors”.
The markets will take place between 6pm and 10pm and are free to enter.
