Portimão Port is set to receive a total of 55 cruise ships, carrying an estimated 35,000 passengers, this year. According to Portimão Câmara, this represents a 53% increase on last year.
The first 2013 stop-overs are scheduled to arrive at the port as of March 9, with nine cruise companies visiting the Algarve facility for the first time this year.
In 2012, 36 cruise ship stopovers were registered between March and December, in total carrying 18,506 passengers.
