Poppies are now on sale across the Algarve as part of the annual Poppy Appeal which runs until November 13.
The Poppy Appeal is run by the Royal British Legion (RBL) and the poppies are worn as a sign of remembrance for those who died for the freedom of others during conflicts around the world. A Remembrance service is to be held at St Luke’s Church at Monte da Palhagueira on November 14 from 10.50am.
Poppies are now available to purchase from the Algarve Resident offices in Lagoa at Rua Visconde de Lagoa nº2 and 3.
