The count of 150 Royal British Legion collecting tins is complete, with the Algarve raising over 12,000 euros for the Poppy Appeal.
The Appeal Co-ordinator for the Algarve, Sandra Wilkinson, said: “This is a magnificent achievement, which is nearly 20 per cent up on last year. As usual, we will not be naming individuals who have contributed time and money to this appeal as, thankfully, the list is long, but well done everyone who helped in any way – we are so grateful.”
