It’s not yet official, but newspapers are already repeating the tabloid story that Friday May 12 will be a “day of tolerance” (meaning a day off) for public sector workers, in honour of the Pope’s two-day visit to Fátima.
Bishop of Leiria-Fatima, D. António Marto had requested a work-free day to give Catholics the opportunity to take part in celebrations that are expected to attract over a million people.
