Contrary to the rest of the country which has seen salaries plummet, or at best stay the same, a new report out this week shows that government salaries have weathered the crisis “very nicely, thank-you” with an overall increase of €133.20 per month since October 2011.
The data from DGAEP, the public employment office, shows that regular MPs have not done quite as well. Their base salaries have only risen by €89 per month.
