A 39-year-old PSP agent and mother of two children was found dead last night near a school in Águas Santas, Maia, reports Correio da Manhã.
An apparent suicide using her own revolver, the victim died in the street, adds the paper and was found shortly afterwards by her ex-husband.
Colleagues are described as in shock as an investigation has been set in place.
The location, in Picua, was also close to the police station where the woman worked.
