A visit from the Minister of Internal Administration, Rui Pereira, to the Algarve on Wednesday saw the inauguration of the new premises of the Lagos PSP and the refurbished GNR headquarters in Silves.
According to Faro Civil Governor Isilda Gomes, “the two police stations will improve the responsiveness of the security forces in those two areas.”
Works at the police headquarters in Lagos and Silves represent a total of 2.1 million Euros.
The refurbishment of the GNR police headquarters in Silves cost 620,000 Euros, while the new PSP premises in Lagos, built from scratch, represent an investment of 1.5 million Euros.
