PJ police have arrested the suspected killer of an 80-year-old woman who was found dead in the freezer of her home in Salreu, Estarreja (Aveiro) in May.
According to Jornal de Notícias, the 44-year-old man is the “brother of an ex-neighbour of the victim”.
The case is being treated as a robbery gone wrong. The victim was apparently bound by tape and died of asphyxia, though it is still to be determined whether this happened before or after she was put into the freezer.
