An 18-year-old boy died on Tuesday in the village of Senhora da Hora, Matosinhos, after being hit in the head by a pole from a bus stop.
The accident happened at 5.25am after a vehicle hit a bus stop, in front of the Pedro Hispano Hospital, causing the post to fall.
The driver, 22, said she lost control while overtaking a taxi at high speed and ended up hitting the bus stop where the boy was standing.The boy died on the spot.
