Poker arrests

Thirteen people were arrested last Saturday in Fafe, in the north of Portugal, for participating in an illegal poker game that was taking place in a café.

The GNR had been called to the scene by neighbours who complained about the excessive noise coming from the establishment. After arriving at the café at around 2.50am, the police found 12 people between the ages of 17 and 48 playing poker using casino tokens. All were detained, including the café owner, and are due to appear in court.
