A young Portuguese online poker player has just given €50,000 to charity, after betting himself that he could take €100 and make €100,000. Clever André Coimbra actually made €50,881, donating almost all of it to the Poiares and Penacova branch of the Portuguese Association of Parents and Friends of Citizens with Mental Illness (APPACDM). Needless to say, the charity was described as “over the moon” with the windfall.
