Portugal’s prime minister, António Costa, is to travel to New York on September 19 and remain there until 22 September in order to take part in a session of the General Assembly of the United Nations for only the second time since he became the head of the Portuguese executive in 2015. According to a statement issued today by his office, Mr Costa is expected to address the 77th UN General Assembly on 22 September, returning to Lisbon afterwards.
