PRIME MINISTER José Sócrates has installed a gym on the second floor of his official residence in São Bento. The equipment has been lent by a leading gymnasium and will be returned either on the behest of Sócrates or when he ceases to be Prime Minister. Sócrates is well known as a fitness aficionado. In March this year, he participated, together with President Sampaio, in Lisbon’s Mini-Marathon, but he has since cut down on jogging because of time constraints.
