A group of protestors against lithium mining in the Serra da Argemela travelled to Covilhã last night in order to catch the attention of prime minister António Costa, visiting the town to inaugurate the renovated Municipal Theatre. According to reports, “the prime minister remained indifferent to the protest”. The group had hoped to be able to make a case for the PM seeing the contract already signed with a mining company annulled.
