VALE DO LOBO welcomed a group of special guests for the second annual Vale do Lobo Millionaires Open, at the beginning of the month. The event, organised in conjunction with exclusive Dutch lifestyle magazine Miljonair, is one of many held on the resort’s two championship golf courses – the Royal and the Ocean.
The tournament involved a practice day followed by two days of golf in a Singles Stableford competition. A prize giving lunch was held in the spectacular setting of the first tee of the Royal Golf Course, where custom designed trophies by leading Portuguese artist, Jorge Timóteo, were presented to the winners.
Yet again, the Vale do Lobo Millionaires Open attracted many famous names in Dutch social circles, including Louis van Gaal, previous manager of Barcelona, Ajax and the Dutch national team and present manager of AZ Alkmaar. Respected Dutch TV show ‘Business Class’ were on hand to capture the whole three day trip.
