For the 11th year, ACCA children’s charity will be holding its annual Pro-Am golf competition on September 20 at the Pinheiros Altos Golf Course in Quinta do Lago.
This is a chance for golfers to play on a team with one of the Ladies European Tour professionals while raising money for the charity fund.
The event will start on September 19 with a ‘meet the pros’ cocktail party at Pinheiros Altos from 6.30pm followed by the Texas Scramble golf from 8.30am the following day.
Jackie Quirk from ACCA said: “Everyone is welcome to take part in the tournament and you can either join as a single player or as a team of three to be joined by a pro.”
She added: “The money that we raise will be put towards a number of initiatives including a speech therapy course for local children and also towards paying for a bursary for handicapped children in Faro for them to be able to learn a new skill to give them a start in life.”
Participation in the event costs €150 per person and includes the golf, lunch and admission to the cocktail party.
