Have you booked in to play with the Lady Pros on the European Tour, or even the Solheim Cup, yet? If not, don’t leave it too late. This two-day charity Pro-Am takes place on Tuesday, May 11, at Pinheiros Altos, and Wednesday, May 12, at Quinta do Lago. The Pros, including Elisabeth Esterl, Cecilie Lundgreen and Suzanne Dickens, have chosen to play a five ball Texas Scramble, “so everyone can join in and have some real fun, and a realistic opportunity to win,” says CC Lundgreen from Norway.
Entrance is at just 150 euros per person per game, or 275 euros for two games. This includes cocktails and the draw to see who plays with whom on Monday, May 10, at 6.30pm at Barringtons, as well as the sparkling reception and prize-giving dinner at the Pinus Ria Hotel on May 12 at 7.30pm. A total of 15 Pros are giving their time, entirely free in the middle of their busy playing season, to support the two fantastic charities involved in the Pro-Am. And of the 150 euros you pay, 125 euros goes to children in need in the Algarve (ACCA) and for eye operations for children in Zimbabwe. Book yourself in, or book your team of four players in, at Barringtons in Vale do Lobo, with cheque or cash only. Space is limited, so entrance is accepted on a first come, first served basis.
FREE GOLF CLINIC: There will also be a free golf clinic with the Lady Pros at Barringtons Golf Academy on Monday, May 10, at 2pm. All are welcome.
