PJ police seize all goods of value at Rendeiro mansion

The PJ police have today officially taken possession of all goods of value at the mansion home of former BPP banker João Rendeiro, currently in a South African jail fighting extradition to Portugal. This seizure was initially ruled against by the judge but has now been sanctioned, meaning Mr Rendeiro’s wife, Maria de Jesus, already under house arrest, could conceivably be left with only a bed, fridge and cooker. According to the penal code, even cutlery could be seized by authorities.
