PJ police have announced the arrest of a 73-year-old man on suspicion of having sexually abused two children aged eight and 12 in São Marcos da Serra (Silves).
The children are said to be family members who live nextdoor to him.
According to the criminal police force, the abuse lasted for at least two years. The man would commit the crimes when alone with the children in his bedroom, PJ police added.
