Police in Lisbon discovered a consignment of pineapples from Colombia bound for Spain was hiding 30 kg of high-grade cocaine.
The drug, said to be of an “elevated level of purity”, was found in the middle of the crates of exotic fruit in the port of Lisbon. No arrests have been made, but PJ police are investigating.
Reporting their find, the PJ explained that Portugal is often used as “the point of passage” for drugs destined for Spain.
