Yet another issue with TVDE (Uber-type) services has come this week with a 46-year-old woman claiming she suffered a four hour ordeal ‘kidnapped’ by her TVDE driver after entering his vehicle on Tuesday evening for a ride from Costa da Caparica to Monte de Caparica. The woman filed her complaint with Almada police after ‘escaping’ her alleged captor in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The complaint follows a number of others, including a case where a TVDE driver on the Bolt platform, who spoke no Portuguese, drove over the foot of his passenger, with Bolt accepting no liability for the incident that the victim claims has left her life on hold until December (due to the surgery she has had, and a follow-up surgical intervention due).
