PJ funding

THE GOVERNMENT is due to invest a total of 5.2 million euros in the next three years in the renovation of Polícia Judiciária (PJ) stations in the Algarve and the construction of new facilities in Faro and Portimão.

According to the government’s proposal, around 500,000 euros will be spent on the construction of a new police station in Portimão, with 1.5 million being spent over three years for a new station in Faro. A further 1.6 million has also been reserved for renovations at the Lagos PJ station and 100,000 for facilities at Faro airport.
