PJ Judicial Police (PJ) have announced the dismantling of an international drug processing laboratory located in a rural, isolated spot in Gondomar parish, Guimarães, (Braga district) with the arrest of four foreign defendants, all of whom have been remanded in preventive custody. According to the PJ’s statement, a residence served “as a shelter for a laboratory of considerable dimensions where, on a daily basis, and continuously, two individuals carried out the process of transforming coca paste (the crude extract of coca leaf which contains 40% to 91% cocaine freebase) into an illicit end product, fit for human consumption.” More on this significant drug bust tomorrow.
