Portugal’s top two Judokas in the under 63kg class, Ana Cachola and Filipa Almeida, competed in the Spanish induvidual national championships together with Tiago Lopes (-73kg) last weekend.
The three JC Algarve representatives were the first to take advantage of a recent rule change which now allows foreign nationals to fight for domestic honours across the border.
