Pine Cliffs Resort unveils new fitness studio

Albufeira’s Pine Cliffs Resort has become the first in Portugal to unveil the country’s new fitness brand – Active by Serenity.

It is part of the larger brand Serenity – The Art of Well Being owned by United Investments Portugal (UIP), which also owns the Pine Cliffs Resort.

The resort already has a new fitness studio known as Studio Active, designed to host a variety of group classes from Pilates and yoga to meditation, Active Cycling, Fitball, boxing, Fit Golf, Cross Fitness and Functional Training.

But the biggest novelty is the Pilates Reformer, a machine that is described as “ideal to work the body while at the same time improving posture and alleviating issues such as back pain”.

It also helps people build “strength, flexibility, coordination and balance”.

The 180sqm fitness studio is located in a “privileged area of the resort, near the clubhouse, with a view over the golf course”.

Membership prices range from €25 to €720, depending on whether you want to use the studio just once or sign up for a weekly, monthly or annual pass. All options include access to the group classes and the health club, which includes a gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and indoor pool.

Some memberships also include one or two tickets to the Thermal Oasis at the Serenity Spa.
