Following bitter and consistent complaints by passengers over the last few days, ‘flagship airline’ TAP is now under fire from its pilots. Representing the pilots syndicate, Tiago Faria Lopes has been telling journalists the company is using every excuse possible (“the pandemic, the war, the fall in the value of the euro against the dollar, the increase in the cost of fuel…”) for the “lack of success” that marks it when really problems boil down to “harmful and disastrous management”. Pilots are even contesting the company’s recovery plan.
