Quinta do Lago is again holding its successful ‘Picnic in the Park’ events in aid of local children’s charities.
The resort is set to donate €5 for every one of the locally-sourced hampers purchased over the next couple of months.
So, while temperatures may soar this summer, Quinta do Lago will be hosting its “cool and relaxed” Picnic in the Park series every Friday evening between July 7 and August 26 with visitors helping neighbouring children’s charitable causes.
The annual ‘Picnic in the Park’ has proved to be a popular and fun addition for families and guests of all ages, with live music and children’s entertainment in the relaxed atmosphere next to the first tee of the South Course – a course that has held the Portuguese Open on eight occasions.
There are four fresh hampers to choose from, selected from the finest local ingredients – Pure, Bovino, Clubhouse and a Kid’s Basket that come with a blanket for added comfort, ranging in price from €12.50 to €25, which can all be pre-booked.
Pure is an assortment of healthy super foods, such as signature salads, quinoa, chickpeas, lentils, chicken mango wrap, fresh fruit and a choice of detox juices or organic white wine.
Bovino is a “meat-lovers’ dream” with a choice of finest-cooked cuisine including slow-cooked empanadas, freshly-cooked signature hamburgers, caramelized onions, cheese and bacon salad, water and a bottle of selected wine.
The Clubhouse basket is an ideal choice for a lighter selection of cooked meats, cheese, nachos, dips, fruit salad and a selected bottle of wine, while the Kid’s Picnic Basket comprises water, soft drink, a slice of pizza and ice cream.
