TWO THIEVES entered a Vilamoura apartment on Sunday night and stole mobile phones and other valuables.
They scaled the apartment block, entered an apartment where the owner was sleeping and grabbed her by the neck, before rifling through her belongings.
Various apartments have recently been targeted by thieves in and around the Largo das Estrelas, an area well known to the authorities for such problems, due, they say, to the existence of numerous bars nearby.
The area is also known for violence. In February, a 48 year-old man was assaulted, later dying from his wounds.
