Vila Real de Santo António council has announced that the first phase of construction of Monte Gordo’s beachside boardwalk will be completed by the end of June.
The 2km structure will be accessible via the beach and car parks, while the council explains that the “reconstruction of the sand dunes” will cover the boardwalk’s supporting structure so that it does not become an eyesore.
Phase two will begin on October 18.
