THE MEDICAL authorities have authorised plans for a new pharmacy in Faro airport. According to airport management company ANA, more than 4.8 million people travelled to or from Faro last year and the new chemist hopes to provide a valuable service to these passengers. The pharmacy will be the second to be installed in a Portuguese airport. The first opened in Francisco Sá Carneiro airport in Porto last summer. “This should improve our image in terms of health care and improve the passenger’s view of Algarve tourism,” said Faro Câmara President, Luís Manuel Coelho.
