Alcantarilha’s only pharmacy closed its doors last weekend. The president of the Parish Council, João Palma, says it’s unacceptable that a population of 2,500 has been left without a pharmacy. He accuses the Infarmed, the national authority of medicine and health products, and Silves Câmara of allowing the establishment to relocate to nearby Armação de Pêra.
