Peugeot-Citroën announces it will cut 280 jobs from Mangualde plant

PSA Peugeot-Citroën has announced that it will be shedding 280 workers from its plant in Mangualde.
According to the group, the workers will be made redundant at the end of July.
A spokesman explained that the PSA group had hired extra workers last year in order to cope with “very high and exceptional production levels” ongoing in Spain.
Those levels had now stabilised, said the group, and thus “natural adjustment” at the Mangualde plant has to be made.
