THE CIPOL petrol station in Alcantarilha (Silves) was robbed last Sunday night by a masked gunman. According to witnesses, the assailant was apparently aged between 20 and 30 years old and was wearing a balaclava. The man pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded that he hand over all the cash in the till. After grabbing the money, he quickly fled the scene on foot. Police believe the robber had a vehicle parked nearby, however, Armação de Pêra GNR have as yet been unable to trace the assailant. Portimão PJ is also investigating the case.
