TWO PORTUGUESE animal rights groups are organising a petition this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) with the aim of creating laws to prohibit the use and exploitation of animals in circuses in Portugal.
Members of Acção Animal and Liga Portuguesa dos Direitos dos Animais have joined forces to collect signatures for the petition between 2pm and 6pm near the Baixa-Chiado metro station and Largo Luís de Camões in Lisbon.
