PORTUGAL HAS collected the second-highest number of signatures for an online petition asking the government for uterine cancer detection programmes.
In total, over 7,900 signatures have been collected in the country, just behind Croatia with over 9,600 signatures.
Uterine cancer has been debated in Portugal recently by the government, who have decided to introduce a new vaccine against the Human Papiloma virus into the national health plan to help prevent the cancer.
