Pestana Vila Sol in Vilamoura has been named Portugal’s “Best Golf Resort” by British magazine Today’s Golfer.
“This award makes us very proud, as it is proof of the quality and excellence of the hotels and golf courses managed by the Pestana Hotel Group,” said the group’s corporate regional director Pedro Lopes.
Today’s Golfer praised the “exceptional layout” of the Vila Sol’s course, designed by the “legendary golf course designer and former golfer Donald Steel”.
The award comes in this year’s TG Awards, based on votes from the magazine’s readers and focusing on courses in UK, Spain, France and Portugal.
