Boliqueime-based communication design company Atelier do Sul is now selling reusable face masks that can be personalised with a company logo.
“We are a creative company and face masks are something that our clients, as well as their friends and family, need right now,” Fred Phillips, founder and CEO of Atelier do Sul, told the Resident.
The masks are 100% polyester and are certified “OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 class 1”. They are suitable for prolonged contact with the skin, can be machine-washed up to 60ºC and are sterilised with a nitrogen treatment before being packaged.
Fred Phillips told us that the masks fall under the “type 3 category” according to the national health board (DGS), which classifies them as non-surgical masks to be used by the general population – in other words, they are meant to be used during “necessary trips outside your home, for shopping at the supermarket and in situations of possible contact with other people”.
Atelier do Sul stresses that using the masks does not mean that you do not have to continue following DGS’s recommendations about social distancing.
For each batch of masks, there is a preparation cost of €85 plus a cost for each mask which starts at €3.45 when ordering 50 masks.
