AMERICAN GRUNGE rockers Pearl Jam have just announced the European dates for their 2006 world tour, which include two performances at Lisbon’s Pavilhão Atlântico, scheduled for September 4 and 5.
It is six years since the band last toured Europe and these concerts will serve to support the band’s new, self titled studio album due for release in Europe this month.
All bodes well for the band’s comeback with the first single off their forthcoming album entitled World Wide Suicide, still in the US top five after six weeks.
Music critics are raving about the band’s new material, with rock magazines Kerrang and Rolling Stone awarding the new album five-star and four-star ratings respectively.
The European tour will begin in Dublin, Ireland, at the end of August, finishing in Austria at the end of September.
